Sometimes it’s easier to do for others and love them than it is to love ourselves and give ourselves time. This week’s Happiness prompt is all about you.
I hope you enjoyed last week’s prompt and were able to use it to encourage more of the simple joys to enter your life. If you missed week 2, see it linked below along with those who responded. Link your happiness post in the comments below, ping back to this post, or share your thoughts about this week’s prompt in the comments. I will share it in next week’s post.
The Happiness Project is my way of sprinkling happiness like fairy dust so that we can shift our perspective towards a happier more joyful life. Each Tuesday I will give you a prompt and an affirmation for the week. Use these to guide you towards a joyful life filled with gratitude and happiness. Think of it as your own gratitude journal.
Here’s this week’s prompt and affirmation.
Last week’s prompt and affirmation was about starting the morning off slowly while listening to birdsong and enjoying a warm cup of tea. https://youtube.com/shorts/pcv4bpKppps?feature=share
Jan from https://accordingto.me enjoys a cup of matcha most mornings.
Wynne from https://wynneleon.com finds joy in her mornings and is now adding birdsong to it.
Margie from https://backroadsandotherstories.com listens to the birds already, and does it over coffee. That works just as well. I know, because I do both. 😆
Nikki from http://notesoflife.uk all the way in Wales finds early morning joy in Welsh birds. Different birds. Same joy!
Hope you enjoy this week’s prompt. Link to this post or share in comments. And I’ll share in my next week’s post, so we can continue to spread the joy and look for happiness in the simple things.
Wishing you a week full of happiness and simple joys.

I have to report back to you on this, Alegria! It took me several days but over the weekend I wrote myself a love letter. It was a fascinating thing to do because it helped me see some of the things I do with a little bit of remove. I could write about the areas where I expend a great deal of energy and time and see the impact a little bit more when putting pen to paper. So thank you, my friend! ❤

It’s so delightful to receive your message Wynne. And I’m so ‘happy’ to know this brought you some clarity (not that you need it). Hope you don’t mind, but I shared your message on today’s happiness project post, which I just published.
Thank you for being a part of my happiness my friend. 🤗💕

Alegria – I love this project of yours. And your description “sprinkling happiness like fairy dust” is perfect! It’s so cool how you include comments from last week!
This week’s prompt couldn’t be more perfect for me. I have been working so hard to write other people notes – I count 10 that I’ve written in the last week but I never thought about doing one for myself. I am going to work on one for me in the next couple of days. Thank you for sprinkling just the fairy dust I need! Sending lots of love to you!

That’s so heartwarming to know I’ve inspired you to show yourself a little love Wynne. As a busy working mom, you definitely need to take some time for self-care. I know you meditate and exercise, and a little self-love note occasionally is also important. And you are such a generous person to write so many love notes in one week. Now it’s time for you. Love and hugs my friend. 💕🌸
